How quickly can you start a new commercial waste service in London?
Same-day quotes during working hours. Most new recurring services start within 24 to 48 hours of the first call. Bag deliveries come from in-house stock; bins are delivered free from our 660L and 1100L wheelie stock. Wait & Load and bulky collections are often same-day if booked before noon. If you've got a deadline — Friday move-out, Monday opening, inspector visit — tell us at the call and we route around it.
Are you really commercial-only?
Yes. UK households get free council collection so we don't compete with that. We focus exclusively on businesses: hospitality, retail, fit-out, offices, FM, property managers, construction sites and creative production. Our price list, fleet, and operating model are built for commercial volume and commercial compliance. If you're a household, your council does this for free — we're not the answer.
What's the contract term?
Two options on recurring bag and bin services. 12-month standard contract at the published per-lift rate, auto-renews for another 12 months unless you give 60 days notice before the renewal date. You can cancel earlier with notice — an early-termination fee applies, set out in your contract. We send a reminder 90 days before each renewal so you don't miss the window. 1-month rolling at +10% per lift, cancellable any month. Wait & Load, pallet, office clearance and bulky waste are one-off services — no contract.
What if I'm not sure which service I need?
Call 0207 101 4003. Describe your situation and the operator on the phone will tell you which service is cheapest for your case. We don't push you toward the higher-margin option. Often the answer is a bag service plus an occasional ad-hoc pallet collection rather than a bin contract, or a one-off Wait & Load instead of recurring. The 10-minute phone quote is usually more accurate than any online calculator.
Do you charge a bin rental fee, environmental levy or fuel surcharge?
No. No bin rental, no environmental levy, no fuel surcharge, no carbon offset line item. The published per-lift price is what you're invoiced. The only standard surcharges are: out-of-hours on Wait & Load (+£100 + VAT), overweight bags above 5kg (£0.25/kg), and genuinely specialist disposal routes (plasterboard, refrigerant fridges, POPs furniture, WEEE) where we flag the cost up front.
How do I switch from my current waste contractor?
Send us a copy of your existing contract or describe the terms. We'll help you find the cleanest exit window — most chain contracts allow 30 to 90 day cancellation notice. We can run alongside your incumbent during the transition or hold a start date until your notice period ends. Standard advice: serve written notice the moment you've decided to switch. We onboard your account in parallel so the changeover day is clean.
Same-day collection in London — is that real or marketing language?
Real, for bookings before 12:00 noon on a working day in central and West London. After noon, usually next-day depending on route fit. We don't fake same-day capacity by stretching a single van across a postcode — if the slot isn't available we tell you. Out-of-hours, weekend and bank-holiday collections need 24 to 48 hours notice with a flat +£100 + VAT surcharge on Wait & Load.
What types of waste do you collect?
General commercial waste, dry mixed recycling, food waste, cardboard, mixed construction and demolition, pallets, bulky furniture, fridges and freezers (WEEE), plasterboard (segregated), and POPs upholstered furniture via our licensed disposal partner. Glass needs a dedicated stream — we set that up alongside your general waste. Sanitary, clinical, offensive, hazardous and chemical waste are not part of our direct service. As an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (CBDU466346) we can refer your enquiry to one of our specialist partners and stay involved as your single point of contact — so you don't have to source and vet a specialist yourself.
Do you provide a Waste Transfer Note (WTN)?
Yes, same day, every collection. Issued by email with full chain of custody: disposal partner, waste type, weight, date. Required for landlord deposit returns, lease handbacks, ICO compliance on IT equipment disposal, and any FM-side audit. Annual aggregate WTN summaries for B Corp or ISO 14001 audits are produced on request — no extra charge for recurring accounts.
Can you handle weekend or out-of-hours collections?
Yes. Saturday, Sunday, bank-holiday and weekday collections before 8am or after 6pm with 24 to 48 hours notice. A flat +£100 + VAT surcharge applies on Wait & Load to cover crew overtime — flat means same fee on Half or Full Load. For recurring bag and bin customers who routinely need weekend collection, the weekend surcharge is built into the contract rate at sign-up so there are no per-collection surprises.
What if my waste volume changes from week to week?
Easy. Bag orders flex week to week — you order what you need from our held stock. Bin frequency and bin size are change-on-a-phone-call: upsize 660L to 1100L for a busy period, add a Saturday lift for a peak, drop back when it's quieter. We don't penalise volume changes mid-contract because flexing volume is exactly what businesses need their waste contractor to handle without bureaucracy.
Who do I call if a collection is missed?
The same number, 0207 101 4003, and you reach the operator who knows your account. No call centres, no ticket queues, no escalation hierarchy. Most missed collections are weather, traffic or vehicle issues; we'll tell you straight and re-route within 24 hours. If we're at fault, we work it out with you directly. There's no help-desk script for these conversations.
Are you insured for commercial premises and construction sites?
Yes. £5m Public Liability covering commercial premises, retail floors, construction sites, hotels, restaurants, offices and shared service areas. Certificate available on request — usually needed for FM tender qualification, multi-site contract sign-off and landlord-mandated supplier approval. We're SafeContractor accredited via Alcumus, which most major FM frameworks pre-approve.
How does your pricing compare to the big national waste chains?
Headline per-lift rates are usually similar. Where we save you money is in the absence of bin rental fees (£15-25/month per bin with most chains), environmental levies (8-12% on the invoice total), fuel surcharges (5-10%), and excess-weight surprises. A 1100L bin twice a week with a national chain typically lands at £100 to £140 per week all-in. With us, the same service runs £60 to £80 per week + VAT — and the published price is the invoice.
Do you offer ESG, recycling or sustainability reports?
Yes. Quarterly recycling reports per account on request: weight per waste stream, landfill diversion percentage, disposal route certification and the licensed disposal partner's audit chain. Annual aggregate reports for B Corp impact assessments, ISO 14001 EMS files, planning applications and corporate sustainability reporting. No charge for this — it's part of the standard service for recurring customers.
Can you handle multi-site businesses with multiple London locations?
Yes. Multi-site customers get a single point of contact, consolidated monthly invoicing and site-specific WTN records. Particularly suited to chains with 3 to 15 London sites — hospitality groups, retail concepts, members' clubs and serviced offices. For larger national portfolios we can be the London arm of a multi-region waste setup — happy to quote on that basis.
Where in London do you operate?
All London postcodes inside the M25: EC, WC, W1 and the numbered postcodes (N, NW, SE, SW, E, W) plus the outer ring (UB, HA, BR, TW, KT, DA, RM, IG, EN, CR, SM). Same-day collection is fastest in central London (EC, WC, W1) and along our existing daily routes. For adjacent commuter postcodes outside the M25, call us — we can usually fit them into an existing route.
What makes you different from the national waste chains?
Three things. You call one number and reach an operator who knows your account — no help desks. The published price is the invoice — no rental, levy or fuel-surcharge bolt-ons. The same Capital Recycle crew shows up week after week — not a roster of agency drivers. We're not always the cheapest on headline per-lift rate, but on actual invoiced cost, once you strip out the chain extras, we typically come out 20-30% lower.
