What is the EWC code for general waste?

The EWC code for general waste is 20 03 01, "mixed municipal waste", the List of Waste entry for ordinary mixed rubbish: the general waste bin or sack from a household or from a shop, office, restaurant or similar premises. The 20 is the chapter for municipal wastes, 03 the sub-chapter for other municipal wastes, 01 the entry. It is a non-hazardous code, so a collection under it is covered by a waste transfer note, not a consignment note. It is the code on most commercial general waste collections in the UK, including ours. A mixed load from a building site is different: that is 17 09 04, in the construction chapter.
