Waste transfer note

A waste transfer note (WTN) is the document completed when waste passes from one party to another: what it is, how much, the List of Waste code, the producer's SIC code, and the carrier's registration. Both sides sign and keep it for two years. A regular collection can be covered by one annual note.

Defined in the Commercial Waste Glossary.
