A List of Waste (LoW) code is the current name for a European Waste Catalogue (EWC) code: the six-digit entry that classifies a type of waste on a transfer note or consignment note. The two terms mean the same code; the UK list is published in the Environment Agency's waste classification guidance.
Defined in the Commercial Waste Glossary.
