How do tradesmen get rid of waste?

Tradesmen get rid of waste legally in one of three ways: a skip, a wait and load collection, or carrying it themselves with a waste carrier registration. A registration for your own waste is free, but construction and demolition waste needs the upper tier, which is paid and renewed every three years. Household recycling centres do not take trade waste. Whoever moves it, each load needs a waste transfer note, and the trader is responsible for where the waste ends up. For a one-day job the usual answer in London is wait and load: the caged tipper comes to the site, you load it, no permit and no skip on the road.
