What is the EWC code for glass?

The EWC code for glass depends what the glass was. Bottles and jars from a bar, restaurant or shop are packaging, so a separately collected glass bin is 15 01 07, "glass packaging". Glass that is not packaging, collected on its own from municipal-type premises, is 20 01 02, "glass". Window glass, glazing and mirrors from a building job are 17 02 02 in the construction chapter. All three are non-hazardous, so the collection goes on an ordinary waste transfer note. The receiving site's permit decides which of the first two it accepts, and some sites use 20 01 02 for bar glass out of habit; ask your collector which code its notes carry.
