What are commercial bins?

Commercial bins are the wheelie bins a business uses for its own waste: 240, 360, 660 and 1100 litre bins for general waste and recycling, a sealed 110 litre bin for food, and a 240 for glass. They are supplied and emptied by a licensed waste carrier or the council's trade waste service on a round the business pays for, because business rates do not cover waste collection. The collector owns the bins, lifts them with a bin-lift vehicle on the agreed days, and gives the business a waste transfer note for the duty of care. They stay on the premises between lifts and come out for the collection. Ours come with no bin rental.
