What are the dimensions of a 1100 litre bin?

The dimensions of a 1100 litre bin are roughly 1.40 m tall, 1.26 m wide and 1.00 m deep, on four wheels, with a flat or domed lid. Makers differ by up to 10 cm in each direction, so if the bin has to pass through a gate or sit in a bin store, measure the opening and allow a hand's width each side. It holds about 15 standard bin bags and is the largest wheelie bin, used by restaurants, hotels, larger offices and shops with stockrooms. It needs level ground: a full 1100 on a slope will not stay put. If your yard is tight, a 660 is the same width but 28 cm shallower.
